Battle of Bosworth Nathen Amin, Tracy Borman and Helen Carr
plus a sharing opportunity on The Anne Boleyn Tour 2025
Hello fellow history lover!
This week:
I visited Bosworth Battlefield for the annual medieval festival and battle reenactment. There I interviewed Nathen Amin and you can hear that on the latest Tea Time History Chat!
Watch Tracy Borman’s talk ‘Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I. The Mother and Daughter who changed history’ as delivered on The Anne Boleyn Tour, May 2023 at Hampton Court Palace, in the room in which Jane Seymour gave birth to the future Edward VI, sadly dying a few days later, in my Patreon.
There’s still time to join Book Club for our discussion on Helen Carr’s biography of John of Gaunt, ‘The Red Prince’, a must read for anyone wishing to understand the roots of the Wars of the Roses.
Sharing opportunity on The Anne Boleyn Tour, May 2025.
Last Week:
Interview with Clare Clinton from West Horsley Place - a hitherto unknown home of Henry VIII.
Britain’s Revolutionary Decade with Prof Alice Hunt
Explore the life and death of Anne Boleyn with top historians and stay in her home, Hever Castle
How to spot a fake travel company
but first…. look out tomorrow for my latest Tea Time History Chat and the last in my summer series where I have been joined by historians and experts. Tomorrow’s episode (28th August) focusses on the letter which Anne Boleyn supposedly wrote to Henry VIII while imprisoned in the Tower of London. I am joined by Amanda Glover to discuss her groundbreaking research!
Look out for the notification from Substack or watch on Youtube.

This latest exclusive talk in the British History Patreon is from Tracy Borman OBE. Tracy's talk 'Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I. The Mother and Daughter who changed history' was recorded in the very room in which Jane Seymour gave birth to the future Edward VI and sadly died just a few days later. This was the first time Tracy had given this talk on her then latest book on this famous Tudor mother-daughter pair!
