Happy New Year!

I hope you had a pleasant time over the holidays and are up for a great 2023! The world is full of things we have no control over but there is still plenty we can do to enjoy ourselves. This is why I love what I do, bringing history in a variety of forms to you all. Whether it’s virtually, or physically with your feet on the ground, I have lots of 2023 history travel on offer.

Reading Resolutions

I’m not a big one for resolutions but this year I have made two which I am going to share with you! Not just tell you about them but share the outcome of them with you. Both revolve around the enjoyment of reading and are:

to publish a book review for every history book I read (first one is ready to read now)
to launch a Book Club!

Book Review

I often cover the books I am reading in my weekly Tea Time History Live show but now I am also publishing a written review on my website www.britishistorytours.com.

The first review is ready to read now and is on Gareth Russell’s recently published biography of The Queen Mother. In this uniquely comprised biography, we get an insight into an extraordinary woman, her life and the world in which she lived.

Book Club Launch!

Calling all history book addicts! You know who you are…you have a stack of books by your bed and pack at least 3 every time you go on vacation 😉📚

Joining the British History book club is a great way to connect with other readers and share your love of history books. You can gain insight into different perspectives, discover new authors, and learn from the discussions that take place. Plus, it's a great way to make new friends and have fun while reading your favourite books!

Join The Private Life of Anne Boleyn Tour

Against the backdrop of the 1535 summer progress, taken by Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and ending at Anne’s childhood home, Hever Castle, we look into the private life of Anne Boleyn, on this luxury 6-day/5-night, fully escorted tour.

You will visit 7 magical historical locations including, Sudeley Castle, Hailes Abbey, Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral, Berkeley Castle, Thornbury Castle and Hever Castle.
